Dr. Bedewy wins Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award
Dr. Bedewy has been selected to receive the 2018 Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). This award is given to exceptional young manufacturing engineers (35 years old or younger) from academia and industry for their contributions in manufacturing.
According to the award website, “…Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers to be honored for exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry…..SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers are selected based on work in emerging manufacturing applications, technical publications, patents, and academic or industry leadership.”
Dr. Bedewy joined the faculty of the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh in Fall 2016 as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering, where he established the NanoProduct Lab.
